The S539 Intelli-switch auto change-over manifold is a new generation microprocessor gas control system. The Intelliswitch can be supplied with gas from liquid vessels or high-pressure cylinders or any combinations of the two. It is ideal for a situation where the user wishes to change to gas supply source, eg for universities where normal day-to-day low flow usage is supplied from high-pressure cylinders, and during high flow periods, such as exam times, liquid vessels can be used.
The Low Loss Principle consists of two features, the LookBack, and the Economiser. When the Intelli-switch electronics sense that the “in-use” supply bank pressure is low, it automatically switches to the “reserve” supply bank. After a period of time, the system looks back at the depleted supply back to sense if it has rebuilt pressure. If it has, the system switches back and continues to draw gas from this supply bank, eliminating false switchovers and reducing residual returns in liquid vessels.
The electronic economiser has selectable settings for 230, 350 & 500 PSI liquid vessels. The Intelli-switch continuously monitors measures the pressure in the reserve supply bank. When the pressure goes above the economiser setting, the Intelli-switch will draw gas from the headspace of the reserve supply, preventing vent loss (boil off).
